Meet NVC's Newest 2026 Board of Directors Members HeaderA new cohort of NOVA business leaders has been sworn in to NVC’s Board of Directors, and they’re ready to help advance the NOVA Roadmap.

On June 4, 2026, at the Annual Members’ Meeting, NVC announced 16 new members of its Board of Directors whose terms officially began on July 1.

Representing industries ranging from technology and healthcare to real estate, professional services, manufacturing, and government contracting, these regional business leaders bring unique and diverse perspectives to NVC’s Board. Together, they will help guide NVC’s mission to drive growth and success in Northern Virginia’s business community and advance the four strategic goals outlined in the NOVA Roadmap.

The Board is led by Board Chairman Richard Pineda, President and CEO of CALIBRE, and provides governance, strategic direction, and leadership on issues impacting the region’s economic growth and competitiveness.

New 2026 Board of Directors MemberDavid Metnick | Accenture

David Metnick leads a team that partners with clients across the region. He also serves as Accenture’s Global Education Industry Lead, helping shape forward-looking strategies that drive impact across the education sector worldwide.

 

New 2026 Board of Directors MemberKayla Kania | Aprio

Kayla Kania has over 19 years of experience serving government contractors and business owners throughout their lifecycles. Before stepping into her role as Mid-Atlantic Regional Leader, she previously served as the Lead Assurance Partner in the Government Contracting Practice and as a partner in the Employee Benefits Assurance Practice.

Josh Peyton is responsible for setting strategic direction, managing operations, and spearheading business development across the entire region, overseeing regional financial performance, ensuring operational excellence, and maintaining brand integrity.

 

New 2026 Board of Directors MemberDarren Bernstein | Bernstein Management Group, Inc.

Darren Bernstein is a real estate owner, developer, and operator with more than three decades of experience across construction, development, acquisitions, and asset management. Under Darren’s leadership, the platform evolved into a diversified real estate enterprise with a concentration in commercial retail and office assets, while maintaining selective residential development expertise.

As NVC Past Chairman, long-term Board of Directors member, and VP, Marketing Leader for Northern Virginia Operations at Cox Communications, Kathryn Falk is a transformational technology executive. She has 20+ years’ experience spanning operations, leadership, government affairs, and regulatory strategy.

With more than 23 years of experience, Heather Reilly drives the US Firm’s Go-To-Market agenda to innovate and inspire the next wave of purposeful sustainable growth. Heather drives market impact and operational excellence through investment stewardship and innovative business model generation.

 

Jennifer Felix

Jennifer Felix is a Senior Executive with over 25 years’ experience as a corporate officer in public, private equity-backed, and private companies in the technology and government contracting industries. Winner of the Washington Exec 2021 Private Company CEO of the Year and NVTC 2018 Private Company CFO of the Year awards.

Dr. Craig Cheifetz leads primary care’s strategic growth and innovation while advancing concierge medicine and executive health programs to deliver personalized, high-quality care. Dr. Cheifetz is a distinguished physician with over two decades of experience in the medical field.

Jay Farmer represents many of the region’s leading corporations, with a core focus on the area’s fastest-growing technology companies, associations, and government contractors. He works extensively on the analysis and management of clients’ needs and financial requirements in making real estate decisions.

Craig Domeck oversees the financial strategy, operations, and performance of Kaiser Permanente’s Mid-Atlantic States region. Before joining Kaiser Permanente, Domeck spent over 18 years at Humana, where he held multiple senior finance and operations leadership positions.

 

New 2026 Board of Directors MemberDelbert Parks | Micron Technology, Inc.

Delbert Parks is Vice President and Site Executive for Micron Technology Virginia, Micron’s premier high-tech manufacturing facility for leading DRAM, NAND, and NOR memory products. Delbert is the executive co-sponsor of the Black Employee Network employee resource group. He serves on several Manassas-area boards and is passionate about volunteering and youth work.

Jeff leads the firm’s industrial investment strategy and platform partnership execution. Previously, he spent 15 years at Tishman Speyer, where he oversaw the firm’s business in the Mid-Atlantic and Southeast region — managing over 100 employees across all verticals and a $4B+ portfolio across office, multifamily, industrial, and life sciences.

Beth Johnson is the Founder and CEO of RP3 Agency, an award-winning, 50-person creative communications agency whose client roster includes Fortune 500 brands such as Norfolk Southern, Marriott, and The Coca-Cola Company, as well as leading regional brands such as Children’s National Health System, Giant Food, and Long & Foster.

 

New 2026 Board of Directors MemberRich Sawchak | Systems Planning and Analysis, Inc. (SPA)

Rich Sawchak is leading the company’s global team of 3,000 exceptionally skilled professionals working in the national defense, security, and advanced technologies communities. Bringing nearly 30 years of business acumen to the position, Rich’s commitment to excellence underpins strong corporate development and growth-oriented outcomes.

 

New 2026 Board of Directors MemberJohn Roddy | William A. Hazel

John Roddy is responsible for the profitability and future of the company. Roddy came to William A. Hazel, Inc. from Head, Inc., where he served as Vice President of Operations, and he was responsible for implementing many changes that modernized the company. Prior to that, he spent over 30 years working at Lane Construction. At Lane, he was responsible for operations and profitability in the central US from Illinois and Indiana to Texas.


As NVC continues to advance initiatives that support economic growth and regional competitiveness, these new Board members will play a pivotal role in shaping the organization’s priorities and help strengthen Northern Virginia’s business community.
