Lifetime Achievement Award
The Lifetime Achievement Award (formerly the James M. Rees Award) honors the lifetime leadership and invaluable volunteer service of dedicated individuals that have been instrumental in building Greater Washington into the economic engine it is today.
Scott Hommer, Partner, Venable LLP
Scott Hommer is co-chair of Venable's Government Contracts Group and co-chair of the Government Contractors Services Group. Scott has significant experience and skill in counseling clients who do business with federal, state, and local governments. He represents technology companies and government contractors – locally, nationally, and internationally – in contract negotiations and acquisitions, in the protection of intellectual property rights, and in litigating and resolving disputes successfully.
Impact Award for Regional Leadership
The Impact Award for Regional Leadership is given to candidates who are recognized for the hard work, dedication, and positive impacts they have made to grow our region.
Marty Rodgers, Lead, Health & Public Service Client Group, U.S., Accenture
Martin “Marty” Rodgers oversees a nationwide team that partners with healthcare and public sector organizations to harness technology to improve policymaking, service delivery, patient outcomes, health equity and overall operational efficiency.
Marty has more than 27 years’ tenure with Accenture. Marty's career before joining Accenture was marked by significant contributions to national service, workforce development, and apprenticeship programs. During his time on Capitol Hill, he played a key role in drafting influential legislation, including the bill that established AmeriCorps, often referred to as the domestic Peace Corps. His legislative efforts also led to the creation of the first major federal apprenticeship program and the recognition of Martin Luther King Jr. Day as a National Day of Service.

The Impact Award for Workforce is given to candidates who are recognized for their extraordinary achievements in creating a long-lasting impact on the future workforce of our region.
