For 24 years, the Greater Washington Government Contractor Awards® (GovCon Awards) has stood as the premier celebration of the region’s thriving government contracting community. Each year, the awards recognize companies and individuals who demonstrate exceptional professionalism, innovation, and dedication in serving government clients.
The GovCon Awards feature five key award categories, where members of the business community nominate government contracting companies that have gone above and beyond in their line of work. Finalists in most categories are announced at the exclusive Finalist Reception leading up to the gala. However, two of the prestigious honors are reserved exclusively for the Gala Celebration.

The Hall of Fame honors one exceptional individual each year for unparalleled professional excellence and lifelong contributions to the government contracting community. This award recognizes a government contractor in the Greater Washington Area for an exemplary contracted program. Winners are chosen from applicants in one of four revenue categories and evaluated by the Selection Committee based on mission achievement, financial success, and customer recognition. This award celebrates the tangible impact contractors make in advancing government programs while achieving business excellence.

The GovCon Awards Gala is a black-tie evening of recognition, networking, and celebration. This year’s gala will be held on November 5, 2025, bringing together leaders from across the region’s government contracting ecosystem to honor excellence, innovation, and community impact.
